What is Reiki?

Reiki is used to heal physical and mental trauma and to support mental clarity and spiritual well-being.

Reiki is Pure Channelled Energy.
The Japanese word Reiki means:
Rei = Spirit
Ki = Energy of Power
Different cultures or spiritual paths have different names for this energy. In China it is called Qi and in India it is called Shakti or Prana. Here in the UK we use terms such as Life-Force, Cosmic or Divine Energy.

I discovered Reiki when I was trying to find something that would help me deal with my pain. Help me with the physical, mental and emotional pain that I was enduring each and every day. I was suffering and at the end of my tether! I had never heard of Reiki and it was my friend who suggested that I see her Reiki Master. Well I had explored the more conventional routes and was still suffering, so I booked an appointment – after that, there was no going back.

So I went along to a session and left feeling like I could float all the way home.

To administer Reiki, the Practitioner channells ‘Life-Force’ or ‘Spiritually guided’ energy to the client via the use of their hands.  Reiki can be used on Plants, Animals and People.  It is said that the aforementioned spiritual guidance enables the Reiki to flow through the effected parts of the subject’s energy field and charges them with positive energy.

It raises awareness in and around the physical body where negative thoughts and feelings are contained.  This causes the negative energy – such as stress, anxiety, physical pain, sadness, confusion, etc to gently release.

The energy that is channelled is pure Reiki and the practitioner’s own energy is not being used.  Therefore, no bad or sick energy can be channelled to the client or back to the practitioner, protecting both parties.

The treatment can be anything between half an hour to an hour and a half as it depends on the nature of the affliction.

Chronic cases that have taken longer to manifest will need more than one session.
